We believe in walking alongside our clients. We pair your inner strengths as the expert of your own life with our knowledge, training, and education to produce the best possible outcome.
Each person has various challenges and goals that are defined within therapy; therefore, therapy may look different for each individual. In general, you can expect to discuss the current pain points in your life, possibly the past and how this may be relevant to your current struggles, and discuss ongoing insights and progress in therapy. Depending on your specific needs, therapy may be short-term, focusing on a specific focus areas towards personal growth, or long-term, for support with more challenging circumstances.

In the beginning stage of therapy, we will assess your needs, current level of functioning, and how you are being impacted in your day-to-day life. We will partner with you to develop individually-designed treatment goals. Within this, we will ask that you complete the New Client Forms before we book your first session in order to get the most out of our time together once treatment begins. We may also ask you questions such as what led you to seek therapy. Additional questions may stem from areas identified within the new client paperwork or through your own self-disclosure. Please know the questions are purposeful and designed to develop an evolving plan that may address any areas identified as in need. You may expect to meet with us one time per week during this stage.

Within the next stage, we will continue to partner with you respond to difficulties, celebrate what is going well, and to uncover any additional areas that may need to be addressed. This will be an action-based stage where you will put what you have been learning, within your sessions, into practice within the rhythms of your everyday life. We will typically meet with you one time per week to every other week during this time.

The ultimate goal is to set personally tailored goals within therapy that align with your life and values and to work towards accomplishing those goals. We believe in the philosophy of moving at your pace through this process of growth and healing; therefore, we will check in with you throughout this time and determine the pace needed towards reaching optimal functioning.
It is important to remember, in this stage, that we often have clients return for booster sessions in order to maintain life balance and satisfaction. Proactively returning to therapy is the sign of a healthy mind as you possess the awareness to reach out for support, when needed.

Within therapy, you are on a journey towards a proverbial destination that is aligned with your treatment goals; however, the way in which we travel towards the destination together may differ from client to client. No worries, we will walk alongside you and design a personal roadmap to navigate this journey towards your desired destination, where the magic of therapy may be found.
